The second offering from KINGDOM’s T-shirts, is the Nsibidi ‘Battle’ series, inspired by the historical system of symbols indigenous to Southeastern Nigeria, and known as “Nsibidi”. The symbols date back several centuries, and were known to be a secret mode of communication about love, warfare and the sacred. The ladies were inspired to re-interpret these long forgotten symbols as post modern contemporary Africans, with each t-shirt bearing a symbol, signifying a secret message from its wearer. This campaign is inspired by the creative era of Africa; the thinkers, the doers, the artists, the creators, those that built and shaped our nation, those that defined our DNA and coded our blue print, that left a message of hope and saw the potential of a great nation. It is their message that the ladies seek to pass on.
