This suit is one of my favorite Summer buys from the Mango sale. The fit is perfect and this orange color looks so great against my skin tone. It’s currently sold out, but here is an updated version, here.

How to shop for your perfect suit

Know what works for your body type and buy a suit that is flattery on your features. For example, if you’re petite look for places that caters to your body type i.e. Ann Taylor. I would recommend staying away from boxy and oversized silhouette and buying fitted cuts that wouldn’t drown your figure. This doesn’t mean you can’t buy that boyfriend style jacket that you’ve been eyeing, you just have to be careful.
Fit is everything!! If the suit is too small you look like a stuffed animal and if too big you look like you’re drowning. Shop for a suit that either fits in the right places or one that can be easily tailored. I had to tailor this Mango blazer because it was too big and I just looked silly in it.
Stay away from men’s department. I see people shopping in the men’s department now, I would recommend staying away unless you know what really works for your body frame. Don’t get me wrong, I sometimes buy things from the men’s department but you have to be very careful. Men and women are generally built differently so it’s tough buying a men’s blazer. I would recommend going to the store to try on and see how it fits in person or just return if you order and not satisfied. Also, try and buy a tailorable jacket because that would make a huge difference.
Fabric is so important. I check the product details of almost everything I buy. Stretchy is the way to go because it’s not only flattery but it’s also comfortable and not stiff.
Know the brands that works for you, this is very vital. I do a lot of online shopping and know where to find the perfect suits without thinking- Asos, Mango, Bcbg Maxazria, Mango, Topshop etc. This just makes life easier for you.
